<p> DIED. Bert Parks, 77, perennial master of ceremonies of the
Miss America Pageant and game-show host; in La Jolla, Calif.
Parks, whose rendition of There She Is serenaded winners in
Atlantic City for 25 years, was unceremoniously booted from the
pageant in 1979 because of his age. In 1990 Parks got the last
laugh when he appeared in a much lauded cameo role in the film
The Freshman, singing a satirical version of There She Is to a
lizard.
